There was a very great talk today in my university about 3D scanning human bodies using MS Kinect. I really enjoyed the talk. At the end, he made 3D model of one of the attendances, and it was amazing. I loved it. More information in http://www.fablitec.com/ (They are not the only providers)
I got this in my mind that it can be a unique business if I could form a museum, like that wax museum in LA, and create 3D models of celebrities and make a high-res 3D printing. This way, I could even meet Taylor. I searched in the Internet, but it seems that it is still impossible to do that high-res printing to look realistic. It will definitely replace that wax technology someday. In addition, selling 3D printed models of people as a souvenir is not a bad idea that they had.
