Art of Manliness

I spent several hours reading the articles of this website, http://www.artofmanliness.com, today. I think that I really need to improve my appearance and my style. I didn't even know very obvious tips that this site offered.

When I thought carefully about it, I figured out that anytime I spent time and bought whatever I really wanted, I looked better. I remembered a few years ago that I bought expensive cloths only because I liked them and I wanted to impress that girl; I heard this sentence ten times a day, "You look amazing." My aunt even said, "I have never seen you such stylish before. Always wear like that." Therefore, I think that I need to trust my feelings and go shopping again to buy whatever I deserve.

Talking to Ella

I saw Ella in the department aisles, and I decided to talk to her for a while. I wanted to ask her to come with my for buying cloths on Black Friday. When I approached her, her friend next to her smiled at me. I don't know why, but after a while she left us. I started talking to her about her project.

"Let's go to meet Henry. You go first, I will come later." Ella said.

I wanted to talk to her. I wanted to ask her to come with me. I don't know why Iranian girls are so complex. Why did she ask this? Perhaps she didn't want to talk to me because she was uncomfortable around me, or she wanted to tell me that I don't like you that much, or she simply wanted to meet Henry for no reason, or she had something to do that she didn't want me to be there because of that. I didn't want to meet Henry because I saw him a few minutes ago. In addition, we could go there together, why did she ask me to left her? I don't know, and I don't want to know. Whatever it was, I don't want to deal with these complexity in my real life. I don't know if American girls are also like that or not. If they are, I don't want to marry anyone at all.

By the way, I went to Henry's lab, and I stayed there until she came. We talked for a few minutes, and I left them to meet my professor. This sentence, however, completely changed my mind about asking her out.

Taylor won Pinnacle Award. SO HAPPY FOR HER

I read in the news that Taylor won Pinnacle Award. I can't believe it. I am so happy because of her. I knew it from the very first day that I saw her.

I sit in my university cafe and see girls coming and going, but sometimes I think that she is the only THE ONE.

Talking to Martin about nanotechnology in lung cancer

I saw Marin in the cafe, and I talked to him about that girl. Then, he invited me to go to his lab to show me their work. He was reading a paper about using nanotechnology to diagnose and cure lung cancer. In their lab, they were working on bio-mechanic tissues to be used in lungs for diagnosis of lung cancer. Since my thesis was related to lung problems, I decided to go know more about their project.

I am working on a tele-medicine software platform; Martin is working on bio-mechanic tissues; I know that even Justin is working on wearable medical sensors; I am so happy that we can study here. In fact, we are working on projects that were impossible to do in our home country. And most of these projects are very useful for people.

A super amazing girl in the cafe

I was in the cafe that I saw a super amazing girl came with two of her friends. Her friends were Chinese, but she was an American girl. She completely distracted my attention, and I couldn't study my courses anymore. I watched her. She was very friendly and kind. When she was there, some of her female friends came to her table, and she hugged all of them. They even took a picture together. She was also very playful. All the time, she was laughing and joking with her friends. I haven't seen anybody like her here in the US before.

When I was looking at her, I noticed that how similar was she to my first love. It has been many years, but I unintentionally look for her in other girls. I don't want to think about these things anymore.

She touched that Chinese boy's hair several times, and said something that I couldn't hear as I was sitting far from her. To me, she was super friendly. I saw one of our university policemen went to their table, and started to joke with them. I wish I could do the same. He was a super friendly police. He was also a very nice person. So, I decided to talk to him.

I talked to that policeman after he left the table.
Me: "Do you know the girl who is sitting there?"
Officer: "Which one? That table?"
Me: "Yes."
Officer: "No. I don't know them. I usually go and talk to people. Why are you asking?"
Me: "I am interested in that girl, but I don't know how can I go and talk to her. Can you do that for me?"
Officer: "Look. If you like her, you need to go there yourself. 15 years ago, I met a girl sitting at a table in a cafe, and I liked her. I went to her table, and I talked to her. It is 13 years that she is my wife, and I am very happy because of that. If I didn't do that at that time, she was not my wife now."
Me: (Wife??? It is too soon to think about these things. Can she be my wife? Why not? She is good, but who knows? If I gonna marry someone, I like her to have such a friendly personality, but? OK. It's a long time that I am thinking. Let's finish this conversation first.) "You are right, but she is with her friends. What can I say to her?"
Officer: "You can ask where the library is."
Me: "I know where is it. I am here for at least one year. Do you have any other idea?"
Officer: "I think it is OK to go and talk to her now, but if you want to find her alone, I suggest you to wait for it. Today is Wednesday. Next week, Wednesday, you may find her here alone."
Me: "Can't you and ask her name or any other information that I can find her again. I know that she will go, and I can't see her."
Officer: "I want to remain neutral in a relationship."
Me: "Neutral? It's not a relationship. It is just a simple friendship :)"
Officer: "Whatever. I can't do anything for you."
Me: "OK. Thanks for your help."

I sat there again to wait for her. Eventually she left her table alone, and I packed up to follow her, and talk to her. I was one step behind her that she went straightly to the library and sat at a table with two of her other friends. "Come on. How many friends she has?" I thought to myself. She saw me at the library, and I decided to leave there because I didn't want her to think that I am following her.

I went to my class, and left everything to the destiny. When I came back out of my class, I went to the cafe again. Unbelievably, she was there. I decided to call Henry to find a way. When I was calling him, she passed in front of me alone to go to another building. I wanted to say something, but I had been dull. Then, I thought that I may lose her, so I went to the other building without knowing that where she went. I sat at a chair in the other building to call Henry again. I was talking to Henry that she passed in front of me again, and saw me again. I couldn't talk to her. I thought that it was better to go to my office because it was my office hours.

After my office hours, I came to the cafe again. Guess what. She was there with so many other friends. I stand in the line of buying something, and I saw her exchanging her number with a boy. I don't know if he was her friend, or they met today, or anything else. I saw that boy in the morning when he came to her table, and talked for a while and left. After that, she left the cafe to the other building. I stayed at the cafe waiting for her. I thought that since her friends were there, she will come back very soon, but she never came back. I really missed her. It has been more than a year being in the US, and I haven't seen such a girl before. Maybe she was not that beautiful, but she was so kind and friendly.

Austin trip - Day 2 - To the home

We walked in the city for half an hour, and we went toward our car.

For lunch, we got some sandwich from Wathaberger.

The road back home was very crowded. It was rare to see such a stop-and-go in the roads. Hanson shared her point of view about marriage and girls with us during the way. He also told several stories from his childhood and school time. "You won't have any shared experience with a girl who born here. You can understand my stories, but they can't because they were not in the same situation as you. There are very a few things between you and an American girl definitely." Hanson said. He was right, but who cares?
