Halloween was surprisingly fun and amazing. I, Micheal and Marvin went to a block party near downtown. They had closed the streets for the party. It was like five thousands people with different customs having fun there.
What was strange to me was the number of gay people there. It seemed to me that they usually didn't have time to be in the public, and Halloween was the best excuse to show off their gay life in public. Many dressed up girls were gay guys. We even saw some making out in the middle of the street.
We entered the crowd that something happened. I scared to death for a moment. Someone attacked me, and said, "I gonna kill you tonight. Fight me!" I got confused. I haven't done anything bad. Why would anybody wanted to kill me. I was in my thoughts that his friend said, "Come on. You don't know your enemy. He is Lord Voldemort :)" I looked at his custom, and he was right. He turned his magic wand toward me and started to fight me. I did the same. He really made my night, and I took a prefect picture with him. The surprising thing was that he was the only Voldemort, and I was the only Harry Potter that night.
I had my Harry Potter custom, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. Many girls wanted to take pictures with me. "I love you harry potter," a girl said. "I have a sister in Argentina who loves Harry Potter, would you please take a picture with me so that I can send it to her and make her happy?" another guy said. "Oh, I am in love with Harry Potter. I didn't take any picture tonight, but I have to take one with you. Would you?" a pretty girl said. And it continued the whole night :)
Middle of the street was a show of customs. It was like fashion stage and people with customs were walking there while others looking at them.
Two fights happened between people that we avoided it by running away of there. It was because some of the guys were drunken.
Many gay people with inappropriate clothes were there. Hopefully, we don't live in such an area. It is very hard for me to grasp the concept of gay and les people here.
Two girls with police officer customs liked me (Harry Potter) and asked me to take a picture with me. They were around 30. "Where is the lightening mark on your forehead?" one of them asked. Then he took a make up pen from her purse and draw a lightening on my forehead. They laughed a lot and really had fun with us. "Take me home with you Harry Potter," the girl said slowly when her friend was busy with other people. I pretended that I didn't hear her, and I continued my way.
"What is your custom?" a woman asked Marvin and Micheal. "We don't have a custom! We are ourselves :)" they answered, but they really regret that they didn't have a custom tonight.
I have never had that much fun in my life. It seems that I can now see another way of living that I could never imagine. Fun is not a luxury to the life in the US; it's a essential part of life. That's a big difference that I can see. It is like that I am living a dream; opera, Halloween, awesome. Everything is awesome and amazing.
