We decided to go to another picnic today. I picked up Micheal and Alexander from their home. We went to downtown Plano to see Haggard Park. There was no place to park your car for more than four hours. I parked my car somewhere, and we went to an antique store to ask from the seller.
"Can we park our car in this parking for more than four hours," I asked.
"Yes you can... But they may do tow your car :)))" she answered and started to laugh.
I love when people make jokes of everything. I remembered that how much Taylor likes antique stores, and I decided to see the store before leaving.
We came to the park. There was an old non-working train there. It was like a museum. We took some pictures, and we went to see other parts of the park.
At the same time, some people went inside the train. I saw them, and we decided to see it. Micheal and Alexander don't have an explorer's spirit. They got bored very soon and left the train. I, however, stayed with that guy who were explaining facts about the train, and I visited the whole area thoroughly. He said many interesting things about those times when the train was still working.
One wagon was a post office.
He also showed us a device that they communicate even for transferring money at those times.
Then, he invited all to visit the museum inside the building, Interurban Railway Museum. I, Micheal and Alexander were the only people who visited there. It was, however, a very good experience.
Like any other museum in the US, they had some learning things for kids.
There was also a very old voltmeter.
We had a long conversation with those guys who were operating the museum about the museum itself and their current life. They got surprised when they figured out we are all masters and PhD students.
I am way behind my story (more than a month); so, I won't explain the things that we saw in the museum.
Martin and his family joined us to have our lunch. Martin's wife didn't like this park; so, we decided to give another park a try. We went to Shawnee park after that. She didn't like this park as neither, but we didn't have any other choice; so, we decided to stay there and eat our lunch there. I am not that picky about these kinds of places. As far as they are new and they have something to offer, I would like to visit them.
Some Indian families have been celebrating a birthday there. A boy with a big stick had been trying to hit a PiƱata. It was close that he hit another boy there because his eyes were closed.
We had our lunch there. I had been cooked spaghetti, and they brought some Persian foods.
We saw a fox in the park. It was my first time seeing a real fox that close. I walked with Micheal to take some pictures around the park.
"I won't come to any picnic anymore." Micheal said.
"Me, too." Alexander admitted.
"Why?" I thought to myself. It is the best thing that we can do these days because the weather is very good, and we can enjoy the nature. We even go to a new place every week. It should be interesting to see new places. It seems that they really don't like to explore new things in their lives.
