Tonight was the last night of ABG's rush events. I was tired, but I thought that maybe Luna be there. People were in the lobby and talking to themselves. I joined them. There was an African girl who started a conversation with me. She even asked me to go and sit next to her. It was the first time that a girl asked me to do that. We had a 15 minutes conversation before another girl joining us.
AA-Girl: "Many people here are not serious in dating. They just date for fun."
Me: "Really? I didn't know that. Why do you mean by serious?"
AA-Girl: "I mean considering a marriage or at least a long-term relationship. I am dating my boyfriend only because I wanted to marry him. Even though I can't because he is moving, but I was serious in my relationship."
Luna didn't show up. I didn't want to drive myself, so I went there in one of their cars. There was a girl in the car who talked all the time. I tried to say something between her words, but I couldn't say more than a few sentences. In fact, I could understand only 30% of their talks. It was so hard for me to follow their conversation. I still need improvement in my English.
It was interesting that the only person who played this game before was our driver who played it once in his life when he was a kid. You think that Americans use all their life facilities, but it is not true for many cases. They don't have time to do that.
The place was not that large. There were some game devices around.
This game was completely new to me. I have never heard about it before. I studied the rules hanged on the wall.
It sounded to be a fun game. There were some electric vehicles that players ride during the game, and the goal was to shoot a ball to the target. Players shouldn't use their hands to get the ball. There were some baskets to get the ball.
A cute girl who was working there came to us and explained the rules of the game.
I played two rounds with them. It was fun, but it was not easy to play. That boy was a real talent.
I came out of the court to see around.
In the way back home, that girl started to talk again. She asked me if I had fun, and I said yes. It was interesting to me that I still needed lots of attention to understand their intentions and conversation topics. Sometimes no matter how hard I was trying to understand them, I had no clue about the topic.
These days there are so many ads in the university for rush events of fraternity and sororities. In fact, every semester is like that, but this semester I noticed it, and Luna was its reason.
