An awesome night with Jeeraj

I had a very great night tonight with Jeeraj. I went to his on-campus house to talk about my internship. We talked about so many traditions in India. He told me about their arranged marriage. He said every family has a priest who can say if two persons are a good match for marriage or not. He also showed me a website for Kundali (an arranged marriage calculator). But he said these websites are not reliable. People only ask their family priest to do that.
Me: "If you decided to marry a girl in India, do you need to do such a matchmaking?"
Jeeraj: "Yes."
I was just surprised. It was unbelievable to me. We are living in a world with so much differences between people and their beliefs.

Later we talked about a Mahabharata. He also showed me a part of its movie. He said it is a spiritual movie that he used to watch everyday when he was in India.

He brought some Indian snack for me.

Jeeraj: "Do you know what is this? (pointed to the Pistachios box)"
Me: "In Persian, we say Pesteh. "
Jeeraj: "It is also the same in India. We say Pistah."

I really like when we find a common word.

He prayed toward these sculptures. He also put some ash on my forehead. I am like an Indian now :)

Later we went to the pub to get some food for dinner.
