Microsoft guys came to our campus to get students' resumes. I stand in the line for more than an hour, and I couldn't meet that guy in person because the line was very long. I went to their talk, and it was ridiculous. The factors that they consider seeing in one candidate are not match mine at all. For example, they would like to see how many challenging courses the person took, or if he has an open-source contribution to know or know about the current news to understand that he is passionate about software. In fact, my resume with several years of experience seems to be stupid because they are looking for something else in one's resume. I won a Microsoft T-shirt in their drawing. It was a complete waste of time if I didn't win it.
Today was Asian's new year eve. So, there was a special event in the university. I went to that event. There was a game to play and win one of these handicrafts. I won, and I picked the red one in the left side of the picture.
The game was like this. They gave us some tickets to put in one of those six pictures. There were several dice that they guy toss. If the picture on the dice was the same as the picture you picked then you could win more tickets. You could get one of those handicrafts by wining six tickets.
Then, I had a chance to write my name in Asian language for the first time. I forgot to ask him what language it was. It was crowded. I wanted to write Taylor's name, but I couldn't.
There was also a music show there. People were dancing with Chinese dragons.
